Workshop on preparing periodic reports to UNHR TBs (Jerba, 30-31 October 2021)

The workshop was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Justice in the Government of National Unity, on October 30 and 31, 2021 in Djerba (Tunisia), for the benefit of members of the "Technical team" and the drafting committees in charge of preparing reports

Objectives

- Enhancing participants' knowledge and experiences with methodologies for preparing and drafting periodic reports on human rights by presenting and discussing some experiences in the field.
- Enhancing the technical skills and techniques of the participants in the field of writing periodic reports, by reviewing and discussing draft reports prepared by the report preparation and drafting committees.
- Providing participants with knowledge, information and skills about team building, the reference principles for teamwork, its conditions and requirements.
- Develop an action plan to follow up and accompany the completion of the four reports and the common core document.
- Strengthening and developing national expertise specialized in writing periodic reports on human rights, and contributing to planning appropriate policies to advance those rights.

Participants

The workshop was attended by 33 participants, including members of the "Technical team", members of the five document preparation and drafting committees, and  number of experts in the field, in addition to the two working groups of the Ministry of Justice and the “No Peace Without Justice”.
